Here are the meme-fied seasons so far:
Season 1 ∙ Season 2 ∙ Season 3
For CFA exam study breaks, I either watched an episode of Friends, or, er, created dank memes.
So when I was deciding what to contribute to 300 Hours, the choice was obvious: combine my two unholy pastimes and see what happens.
Looking for the quickest, least painful way to pass all three levels of the CFA exams? You've come to the right place.
Practice is key to passing the CFA exams. But how do we prepare for the chaos, distractions and stress of the actual CFA exam day? After all, sitting for the actual CFA exam is quite different from leisurely completing a mock exam at home.
You can attend invigilated mock exam days - some of our partners offer this. But for your existing mock exams, you can better simulate an exam environment by using our Proctor study track. Read on to find out how!
CFA exams cost money - for exam fees, for materials, and even more so if you fail your exams. To help candidates counter this, we've written guides on how to convince your company to sponsor your CFA program, and how to effectively apply for CFA Institute scholarships.
But we always try to take it further here at 300 Hours. And today I'm happy to announce that we're launching our own scholarships for our readers. The 3H CFA Exam Scholarship is open to all our members (it's free to be one) who are currently registered for any CFA exam at any level.
Read on to find out more details about the scholarships and how to apply!
As every CFA exam candidate will know, the CFA exams are largely comprised of multiple choice questions. This doesn't mean that they're easy to pass - as we've calculated, you're statistically more likely to win Euromillions than to pass the CFA exams by chance.
There are many common (and wrong) myths associated with the CFA exam multiple choice question format that CFA candidates still wrongly assume. We've covered tips on how to guess intelligently in the exams, and to our regular readers some of these will come as no surprise. But especially for those taking the exam in December, in this post we aim to bust more myths and clear the air for our readers about the CFA multiple choice question format before the upcoming exams.
Feeling overwhelmed in your exam preparations? You're not alone. Why does this still happen even though we all know the usual best practice advice (i.e. create and stick to a study plan, leave sufficient time to attempt and review 5-7 practice exams, with the remaining time focused on reviewing weaker topics or last minute concepts)?
Looking back at my exam experience and having chatted to our community members who passed all 3 levels over the years, I started to notice a common pattern in their study habits and exam techniques. It may seem obvious at first, yet it requires a conscious but simple tweak in your study routine. Ready for some productivity boost whilst keeping your cool?
This is a topic that candidates will get confused over and over again - do you really need to master Ethics to pass the CFA exam? I think many candidates ask this question because:
Hence the typical candidate may wonder at some point:
Our answer is:

We all know that prepping for the CFA exams, while more affordable than pursuing an MBA, are still quite expensive. While we have an Offers section to help readers save on CFA exam materials, nothing can take up more of your time and money than failing your CFA exam.
To help with that, and to stand behind their products, CFA exam materials providers can offer 'pass guarantees'.
A pass guarantee can go by a variety of names depending on the provider, but what it usually means is that if you fail your exam, the provider will provide either a refund, free materials for your next attempt, or a discount. But which provider offers the best pass guarantee for you?
To find out, we've gone through the pass guarantees of some of the leading CFA exam materials providers. We've compared the guarantees by guarantee type, what's included, and any additional terms and conditions to show how well they stack up against each other. We'll also share a few tips that you should be bearing in mind when evaluating pass guarantees to get the best value for your own CFA exam prep.
I read Economics as an undergraduate. Naturally, most of my decision making rely on optimisation considerations. When I took December Level I, there were a lot of "heck, just-do-it" experiments to find out what worked and what didn't, in order to make the most impact with the least amount of time I had for my CFA studies then.
The good news? You don't need to repeat that discovery process, as I've summarised the best practices you need to pass Level I, Level II and Level III (in one-go, preferably). All you need to do is apply these techniques consistently, track your progress and see the difference for yourself!
So what do highly effective CFA candidates do?
